On-site backflow assembly repair, rebuild, and replacement by a CA/NV AWWA Certified tester. Most repairs completed in a single visit — no second appointment needed.
When a backflow assembly fails its annual test, it means the device is no longer protecting San Diego's water supply. At SD Coastal Backflow, we diagnose the failure on-site and carry common parts and full rubber kits for the most popular assembly models — meaning most repairs are completed the same visit as the test.
Our repair services cover all three assembly types (PVB, DC, and RP) including detector assemblies in sizes ¾″ through 3″. We stock rebuild kits for the most common models including Febco 825Y, Wilkins 975XL2, Watts 009, and more.
When repair isn't cost-effective — due to age, corrosion, or repeated failures — we handle full assembly replacement. We size, source, install, and certify the new assembly, and file the updated test report with your water authority. All standard sizes ¾″–3″ are available; larger assemblies and detector types are quoted per job.
Coastal Crew members receive a 20% discount on all repair and replacement labor. The membership pays for itself the first time a repair is needed. Parts and materials are always at cost.
Every repair is followed by a re-test to certify the assembly is functioning correctly. The passing test report is filed with your water authority — so one visit handles the repair and the compliance documentation.
We carry full rubber kits and rebuild components for Febco 825Y, Wilkins 975XL2, Watts 009, and other popular models in ¾″ and 1″ sizes. Specialty parts sourced same-day from local distributors when needed.
